Royal Oak Country Club members have the opportunity for full privileges at Ivy Hills Country Club! Ivy Hills features an 18-hole championship course designed by Steve Smyers, a full-service clubhouse as well as swimming and tennis facilities.
Our golf professional staff at ROYAL OAK COUNTRY CLUB offers in excess of 30 golf tournaments a year, which include monthly “couples” events, as well as more competitive stroke play events for those more serious golfers. Additionally, the Men’s and Women’s Golf Associations offer a wide variety of golf events and weekly play-days.
Highlights of the season at Royal Oak Country Club include such events as the Men's and Women's Club Championship, Member-Guest and Member-Member. The golf shop staff offers private instruction along with a renowned Junior Golf program that provides structured activities for juniors of all ages and ability. About Royal Oak Country Club's Golf Course architect, Bill Diddel, a native Hoosier, is one of America’s great golf architects, yet much of his work is relatively unknown. He was a Charter Member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects; this illustrious group included such notables as Donald Ross, Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Perry Maxwell. He served the ASGCA as its’ President and was also an accomplished player, winning the Indiana State Amateur Championship 5 times. ROYAL OAK COUNTRY CLUB is a true reflection of Mr. Diddel’s talents. Known for conceiving masterful routing strategies, and utilizing the natural terrain to provide definition and strategy, this philosophy is certainly evident at Royal Oak Country Club.
